Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using Forecast Frenzy ("the Service", "we", "our") at forecastfrenzy.app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Forecast Frenzy provides prediction leagues: you can create or join leagues, make predictions on sports (and related) events, and compete on scores and head-to-head results.

3. Account

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. You must notify us of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or for operational or legal reasons.

4. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms. You must not:

• Cheat, manipulate scores, or use bots or scripts to gain an unfair advantage.
• Harass, abuse, or impersonate other users or Forecast Frenzy.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload our systems without permission.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.

We may remove content or ban users that we reasonably believe breach these rules.

5. Your content and predictions

You retain ownership of the content you submit (e.g. predictions, display name, team name). You grant us a licence to use, store, and display that content as needed to operate the Service (e.g. showing your predictions and standings in leagues). We may keep anonymised or aggregated data after you delete your account where permitted by law.

6. Leagues and other users

Leagues may be created by you or others. League admins may have additional controls (e.g. inviting members, locking leagues). We are not responsible for the conduct of other users or the content of private leagues beyond what we host. Disputes between users or within leagues are primarily for users to resolve; we may step in where we deem it appropriate (e.g. abuse, breach of terms).

7. Email communications

We send the following types of email:

• Transactional emails: password resets, account security, and similar essential communications. These cannot be opted out of.
• Pick reminder emails: if you have outstanding predictions before an upcoming deadline, we may send you a reminder. Existing users are automatically opted in. New users can choose at sign-up. You can opt out at any time from your profile settings, or via the link in any reminder email.

8. Availability and changes

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, limit, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical. We will not be liable for downtime, data loss, or changes made to improve or maintain the Service.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied). We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forecast Frenzy and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or, if nothing, zero). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in such cases our liability will be limited to the minimum permitted by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account from Profile Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or for other reasons (e.g. legal, safety). On termination, your right to use the Service ceases; we will handle your data as set out in our Privacy Policy.

12. General

These terms are the entire agreement between you and Forecast Frenzy regarding the Service. If any part is held invalid, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right does not waive it. We may assign our rights; you may not assign yours without our consent. Governing law and jurisdiction: as permitted by law, the laws of England and Wales apply, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction (or, if you are a consumer in the EEA/UK, you may also have rights under your local law).
