Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using Forecast Frenzy ("the Service", "we", "our") at forecastfrenzy.app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Forecast Frenzy provides prediction leagues: you can create or join leagues, make predictions on sports (and related) events, and compete on scores and head-to-head results. The Service includes free leagues and optional Frenzy! prize pool challenges where you pay an entry fee to compete for cash prizes. Prize pools are skill-based competitions; see section 2A for terms specific to prize pools.

2A. Frenzy! Prize Pool Challenges

This section applies when you enter or create a Frenzy! challenge that involves real-money entry fees and prize payouts.

Entry and payment

• Entry fees are charged when you confirm payment. By entering, you agree to our payment processor's terms and our processing of your payment.
• You must provide accurate payment details. You are responsible for any fees charged by your bank or card provider.
• You may leave a challenge and receive a full refund at any time before the entry deadline. After the deadline, no refunds are given.

Prizes and payouts

• Prizes are split by tier (winner, podium, cash) as described in the challenge. Platform fees are retained from the total pot.
• Winnings are paid out after the challenge is resolved (when the relevant gameweek or competition is locked and finalised). Payout timing may depend on your bank and our payment processor.
• If a challenge is cancelled (e.g. no participants, or at our discretion), entry fees will be refunded in full.
• We are not responsible for delays or failures in payout due to technical issues, incorrect payment details you provide, or third-party payment processor issues, but we will make reasonable efforts to resolve them.

Tiebreaker rules

When participants have equal total points, ties are broken in the following order: (1) most exact score predictions, (2) most correct winner predictions, (3) earliest entry time. These rules are applied automatically when standings are calculated.

Eligibility and responsibility

• You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to participate in paid challenges. By entering, you confirm that participation is legal where you reside.
• League admins create challenges; we host and process payments. We do not guarantee the outcome of any challenge and are not liable for disputes between participants regarding scoring or results.

3. Account

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. You must notify us of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or for operational or legal reasons.

4. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms. You must not:

• Cheat, manipulate scores, or use bots or scripts to gain an unfair advantage.
• Harass, abuse, or impersonate other users or Forecast Frenzy.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload our systems without permission.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.

We may remove content or ban users that we reasonably believe breach these rules.

5. Your content and predictions

You retain ownership of the content you submit (e.g. predictions, display name, team name). You grant us a licence to use, store, and display that content as needed to operate the Service (e.g. showing your predictions and standings in leagues). We may keep anonymised or aggregated data after you delete your account where permitted by law.

6. Leagues and other users

Leagues may be created by you or others. League admins may have additional controls (e.g. inviting members, locking leagues). We are not responsible for the conduct of other users or the content of private leagues beyond what we host. Disputes between users or within leagues are primarily for users to resolve; we may step in where we deem it appropriate (e.g. abuse, breach of terms).

7. Email communications

We send the following types of email:

• Transactional emails: password resets, account security, and similar essential communications. These cannot be opted out of.
• Pick reminder emails: if you have outstanding predictions before an upcoming deadline, we may send you a reminder. Existing users are automatically opted in. New users can choose at sign-up. You can opt out at any time from your profile settings, or via the link in any reminder email.

8. Availability and changes

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, limit, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical. We will not be liable for downtime, data loss, or changes made to improve or maintain the Service.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied). We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forecast Frenzy and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or, if nothing, zero). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in such cases our liability will be limited to the minimum permitted by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account from Profile Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or for other reasons (e.g. legal, safety). On termination, your right to use the Service ceases; we will handle your data as set out in our Privacy Policy.

12. General

These terms are the entire agreement between you and Forecast Frenzy regarding the Service. If any part is held invalid, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right does not waive it. We may assign our rights; you may not assign yours without our consent. Governing law and jurisdiction: as permitted by law, the laws of England and Wales apply, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction (or, if you are a consumer in the EEA/UK, you may also have rights under your local law).
